Simple Electrical Circuits - Devices in Serial

This demo shows you a "build it yourself" serial circuit and some of the variations you can explore on it, starting with a basic series circuit with just one switch, one battery, and one device. The video showcases the major features of the app - you can move switches, bulbs, wires, and other devices around and connect them your way. The features include a component palette, tap to drag-and-drop, and a labor saving device called "Auto Complete" that lets you focus on learning while the app does the heavy lifting. The essentials of a series connection as well as other points - all switches in series need to be ON, devices in series share power - are explored in this demo.

Simple Electrical Circuits - Devices in Parallel

This is a video demo of the "build it yourself" parallel circuit activity in the Exploriments app Simple Electrical Circuits. Many of the useful features that make this such a flexible app are on display - a button that fills in the wires after you have dragged the components into place, tap to drag and position, a component palette comprising a limitless supply of wires, switches, bulbs and electrical toys and devices, as well as a Help button that describes how to assemble circuits using the app.

Simple Circuits DIY - Learning Circuits

This is a demo of one of the nine pre-built learning circuits that are bundled with the app, to increase your confidence with assembling circuits, so that you can eventually move on to build your own circuits. The learning circuit in this demo is two parallel linkages connected to each other in series. This presents a great opportunity to learn several concepts in a single circuit. Several combinations and suggestions have been outlined in the demo. This app makes the tools available to fuel your teaching or learning activity, and the demo shows several ways in which you can do more with the app.
